Our Core Values
At Minority Watch, we understand that every individual is entitled to respect for the dignity of their human person and to the enjoyment of all the rights listed in Chapter four (4) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity and/or HIV status. We therefore implement interventions with utmost dignity and respect for the recipients.
Our interventions are driven by a desire to serve and support vulnerable persons who need our services to thrive. We leave no stone unturned in our quest to uphold the rule of law and protect human rights.
Our advocacy is informed by the legal research and evidence gathered in the course of our work and that of other partners. We apply this knowledge in our work with other skill sets expected of lawyers and paralegals in the legal profession.
At the core of our interventions is the ability to hold ourselves to account and to ensure that our partners and service recipients receive services with the utmost transparency.
We are deliberate in our staff engagement and have a team of professionals who work collaboratively in a conducive environment to achieve desired goals and objectives. We also celebrate our gains and acknowledge all expertise and our collective gains.
Minority Watch works with relevant stakeholders, like-minded institutions, individuals, and agencies to advance the rule of law and advocate for the protection of the rights of survivors of rights violations. We celebrate and recognize the power of collectives and how this can be transforming, leading to more gains for the beneficiaries.
